HackHawaii demystifies artificial intelligence and technology for our community — from school classrooms to careers in tech. No experience required. Everyone belongs here.
Not a hacking group — a community for safe, accessible learning
Curious about AI? Already building and need focus time? This 2-hour gathering is for everyone — beginner or builder, technical or not.
Despite the name, HackHawaii has nothing to do with hacking into systems. We are a safe, welcoming nonprofit where everyday people — beginners and builders alike — learn to use AI and technology confidently and responsibly.
We run community events, speak at schools across the islands, and operate a dedicated mentorship program to help people with disabilities and Native Hawaiians land meaningful careers in tech.
Our work is grounded in the belief that AI and technology should serve everyone — not just those who already have technical backgrounds. Whether you are a curious beginner, a student, an educator, or someone ready to launch a career, HackHawaii is your community.
From community gatherings to career mentorship, our work meets people wherever they are — no prior experience, no barriers.
We teach AI and tech literacy with a focus on safety, real-world use, and ethics. No jargon, no fear — just clarity and confidence.
All skill levelsWe visit schools across Hawaiʻi to introduce students to AI and technology, opening doors and sparking curiosity early.
